Dear George Washington Families,

Welcome to another exciting school year at George Washington School! As principal of this special “little school in the woods,” I am proud to work alongside an exceptional team of educators and staff who are deeply committed to supporting every child’s academic, social, and emotional growth.

At GW, our goal is to create a learning environment where each student feels seen, valued, and empowered to embrace challenges, pursue opportunities, and celebrate their successes. Together with our families and community, we work to foster confidence, curiosity, and kindness in all we do.

Each school year brings fresh energy, goals, and inspiration. This year, we are embracing the idea of learning with purpose, encouraging our students to be intentional, reflective, and to find meaning in their everyday experiences. Whether through a classroom project, an act of kindness, or a new friendship, our students will be guided to grow both as learners and members of the GW community.

We are also incredibly grateful for the continued partnership and support of our Home and School Organization (HSO). The enrichment opportunities and resources they provide play a meaningful role in enhancing our students’ educational journey.
