Principal's Message

Dear George Washington Families,

Welcome to another exciting school year at George Washington School! As principal of this special “little school in the woods,” I am proud to work alongside an exceptional team of educators and staff who are deeply committed to supporting every child’s academic, social, and emotional growth.

At GW, our goal is to create a learning environment where each student feels seen, valued, and empowered to embrace challenges, pursue opportunities, and celebrate their successes. Together with our families and community, we work to foster confidence, curiosity, and kindness in all we do.

Each school year brings fresh energy, goals, and inspiration. As we continue building on the foundation of learning with purpose, this year we will focus on putting that purpose into action. We want our students to recognize that their choices, efforts, and actions have the power to make a positive impact in their classrooms, our school, and beyond. Through meaningful learning experiences, acts of kindness, and everyday opportunities to lead and contribute, we will encourage our students to turn their intentions into actions that strengthen our GW community.

We are also incredibly grateful for the continued partnership and support of our Home and School Organization (HSO). The enrichment opportunities and resources they provide play a meaningful role in enhancing our students’ educational journey.
